IOHMIYAZU-International Open House MIYAZU

We are a volunteer organization of citizens interested in international exchange.  Starting April (2019), we will start a guide program to guide overseas tourists in English around Amanohashidate, Miyazu`s famous place of scenic beauty. We don`t have experience as guides but we look forward to connecting and enjoying international exchange with you.  We hope that together we can make a special memory that you can take home with you!

Sightseeing Course: Chionji Temple~Isoshimizu

(Chionji Temple Grounds, Chie no Wa Stone Lantern, Shikenchaya Tea Houses, the Rotating Bridge, Isoshimizu Well, etc.)

Time: Approx. 1 hr. (Meet inside Amanohashidate Station)

Number of Guides: 2 guides per group

Cost: Free; but no more than 5 people at a time

Miyazu Linedancing Club

Come enjoy a good time and connect with Miyazu citizens through Country Line Dancing, a form of dance that is currently gaining popularity worldwide! Instruction is in English.  We hope a visit to our class will be a special and unique experience for you.

Classes: Beginner- Saturdays 10-11:30 am

(Meet @ 9:30 am @ Miyazu Station)

Intermediate- Tuesdays 7-8:30 pm

(Meet @ 6:30 pm @ Miyazu Station)

Advanced-Every 1^st and 3^rd Sunday 7-8:30 pm

(Meet @ 6:30 pm @ Miyazu Station)

Instruction Fee: 500 yen per lesson

We will be having our annual Linedancing Festival on Sunday April 21st this year.  We will be dancing at three different locations throughout the day: Kasamatsu Park, the Shotenkyo area of Amanohashidate (Monju Side), and Umi no Kyoto Michi no Eki (Kyoto by the Sea Miyazu Road Station) Magokoroichi Market.  Feel free to come join in the dancing or to just watch!

Kasamatsu Park  1-1:15 pm (75 Oogaki, Miyazu, Kyoto 629-2242)

Shotenkyo  2:30-3:30 pm (Monju, Miyazu, Kyoto 626-0001)

Magokoroichi Market  5-6 pm (3008 Hamamachi, Miyazu, Kyoto 626-0012)
