The Ebisu Festival annually held at Chionji Temple located in the Monju area of Miyazu is an event to pray for business success and academic achievement in the New Year.The restaurants lining the street leading up to the temple gate prepare food to bring good fortune in the New Year and food stands fill the temple grounds creating a lively atmosphere.
The festival is also one of the few days each year that the Monju Bosatsu (Bodhisattva of Wisdom) is revealed. Don`t miss this rare chance to see it!
