Throughout the day\, the temple bustles with numerous worshippers praying for good fortune.\nChionji Temple’s “Tenka Ebisu” festival began in the Edo period. It involves printing subsidiary talismans from a woodblock of Daikokuten (God of Wealth) carved by Kobo Daishi\, which are then bestowed upon worshippers.\nToday\, temple attendants distribute these talismans\, folded into small sticks symbolizing fortune and longevity\, known as “Fukubō” (Fortune Sticks). \n【Date & Time】\nSaturday\, January 10\, 2026 (Reiwa 8)\nTemple gates open: 7:00 AM to approximately 6:00 PM\n*Pre-festival prayers accepted on Friday\, January 9\, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
