Tango Prefectural Folk Museum
A prefectural museum that stores, researches and displays information concerning the history, art, archeology, and folklore of northern Kyoto Prefecture.
We now have a total of over 100,000 documents and items in our museum.
We have both permanent displays related to the history and culture of the Tango area as well as special temporary themed exhibits.
The remains of Tango Kokubunji Temple and the historical Old Nagashima Family House have also been restored and relocated to this site. The view of Amanohashidate from this spot is one you won`t want to miss!
