Nariaiji Temple Autumn Light-Up Event

Amanohashidate pilgrimage place-Nariaiji Temple, one of Japan`s oldest pilgrimage places(#28 of the 33 Saikoku Sanjusansho temples), is going to have a Light-Up event where the five-story pagoda (Gojuto) is light up in 5 different colors.
This place is one of the recommended spots to view autumn foliage in northern Kyoto.
This year 2018, will mark 1300 years since the inception of the pilgrimage to Saikoku Sanjusansho. So we will be having many events to celebrate throughout the year.

The mountain bus, cable car, and Motoise Kono Shrine parking lot will be free in the evening on Saturday and Sunday (2 event days).

・Events held both days: Five colors of faith~ five story pagoda special light-up, Nariai Lantern Offering 2018

Saturday Events (Nov. 10th): 7:00 pm~ Inside the priests` living quarters

・Special Lecture about the Tango Fuchu Area, Noh (Manaihara) and the Tango Fuchu Area, The Excavation of Sesshu “Amanohashidate-zu” and Nariaiji Temple

7:00 pm~ In the square in front of the five-story pagoda

・Music Festival featuring Miyazu Line-dancing Club & Jumbling Orange

Sunday Events (Nov. 11th): 6:00 pm~ In the main hall

・Crab Ceremony

7:00 pm~ In front of the five story pagoda

・Music Festival Featuring AHA, Daryl Nagaoka, & SHADOW ROLLS
